Looking for something fun, delicious and most of all, easy for your cookout or party? Try these Fourth Of July Marshmallow Treats…they’re sure to be a huge hit!
Since my hubby loves his marshmallow treats so much, seriously he can’t get enough of them, I decided to make a batch to surprise him! Fourth Of July is right around the corner so I thought I’d go with that theme and transform his treats into red, white & blue stars. It was easy and fun and a treat that you can whip up in no time. If you’re looking for a last minute dessert to serve at your July 4th picnic or cookout, these are just the thing!
It’s crazy how easy they are! First, melt 3 tablespoons of butter and add 4 cups of mini marshmallows. Stir until melted and add 6 cups of cereal. Mix well, then pour cereal mixture into a 9×13 glass pan and refrigerate until cool.
Do you have your star shaped cookie cutter? You’ll want to cut out as many stars as you can. My cookie cutter was pretty big so it only made eight stars but if you use a smaller one, you’ll obviously get more.
Have you figured out from my other posts that I’m pretty obsessed with candy melts? They’re so much fun because you can do just about anything with them and of course, I used them to color my stars. All you have to do is spread melted candy over the top, then drizzled on some more color because why stop at just one color, right? You can also use some of the leftovers (from when you cut out the stars) to make bite sized marshmallow balls.
These are so perfect if you need a last minute treat for your party or cookout…fun, colorful, delicious and best of all, easy!
