If you read my blog regularly, you know that I’m a really big fan of candy melts.  There are so many things you can do with them and I’m constantly coming up with new ways to use them.  You may also have noticed how much I love my silicone shot glass mold and how I’m always trying to work that in too.  Now that Halloween is near and it’s candy corn season, I thought I’d combine my three favorite things into one.  What could be more fun than some yummy candy corn cups?!  The minute the idea popped into my head, I knew I had to make these!

The first thing I did was to dig into my stash of candy melts to find the colors I needed.  Since I have pretty much every color known to man, it wasn’t too hard!

Then I pulled out the baking tool I was telling you about…this fun shot glass silicone mold.  Since I’m way past those crazy days of multiple tequila shots (or any shots for that matter), I’ve found better ways to use it!  Check out how I used it to make these Chocolate Chip Cookie S’mores over the summer…

I started the cups by melting 1 cup of white candy melts, then pouring it into a decorating bag.  I’ve found that when I’m trying to layer colors, it’s best to use a decorating bag and start filling the cups from the bottom.  Otherwise candy gets all over the side of the mold and you won’t have the nice, clean lines you want.  If you’re using just one color, the icing bag isn’t necessary.

After filling the cups with your white candy melts, place them in the refrigerator to set for approximately 10 minutes.  This will keep the colors from bleeding together when you add the orange.  Next you’ll want to melt 1 cup of orange melts and use a decorating bag to make your middle layer.  Place it back in the refrigerator and after approximately 10 minutes, melt 1 cup of your yellow candy melts.  Refrigerate once again until the candy melts are completely solid.

Pop the silicone inside out to remove your candy corn cups and fill them with any delicious treat you’d like!
