It’s been a great week, starting with an invitation to an event I’ve been dying to attend. Little Keira also got some fabulous new shoes, I discovered a new way to get a quick energy boost (this busy mom always needs one!) and I found a fun new item for my Christmas wish list! Check it out!
Disney Social Media Moms Conference
If you read my blog regularly, or even not so regularly, it’s pretty easy to see that I love all things Disney! Well, this was a HUGE week for me! I managed to snag an invite to the Disney Social Media Moms Conference, one of the most coveted tickets in the blogging world. It’s half conference and half Disney fun, starting with Disney World for three days, then a Disney Cruise for four more. This will be my first Disney cruise and I’ve heard they are amazing!
I’m also excited to meet so many other bloggers. I have a few blogging friends that will be there but there are other bloggers I follow that I really look forward to meeting. I also know the Disney people have some fun things up their sleeves and I cannot wait…somebody pinch me!
Bobux Children’s Shoes
I was recently asked to review a pair of Bobux children’s shoes and after I checked them out online, I jumped at the chance. Not only are these shoes super cute, but I could tell they were great quality and could probably even withstand the abuse of a very active four year old.
These leather Mary Janes were even more adorable in person and my daughter has worn them to school every day since she first tried them on. I think it’s because she finds them so pretty but they’re also comfortable enough for her to run and play in all day. They’re naturally flexible and have notches on the bottom to provide flex points, allowing her little feet to bend naturally. They’re also are made with correct anatomical foot development in mind and allow natural balance, coordination and posture.
I’ll admit it…I’ve been guilty of buying cheap shoes in the past. One thing I’ve learned though is that you usually get what you pay for. Most of the inexpensive shoes I’ve bought don’t stand the test of time. When you look at these Bobux shoes, it’s very clear that they’re well made and build to last. We really love them and I only wish we’d discovered them sooner!
pureLyft Energy Sticks
Hi…my name is Lisa and I’m addicted to coffee! There, I admit it. The problem is that I live in Florida and sometimes it’s just too darn hot to drink coffee (and iced coffee is not an option…yuck). Other times it’s just not available when I need it. Lucky for me, the folks at pureLyft sent me a sample of their energy sticks and I think my problems are solved!
PureLyft is an all natural energy alternative made with un-roasted green coffee beans, Stevia and vitamins A & B complex. It comes in super convenient energy sticks and I love how easy it is to just throw them in my purse, gym bag or backpack. Whenever I need a quick boost, I can just stir them into my drink.
I tried it the other day when I needed to add a little pep to my step and it worked. I wasn’t ready to run a marathon or anything but it did gave me an extra burst of energy, similar to a cup of coffee. I added it to my water and it was almost completely flavorless, aside from a very faint hint of Stevia. That’s a nice bonus because it allows you to add it into other drinks too. While it won’t take the permanent place of my coffee, I’m definitely going to keep these around as an easy alternative.
PureLyft is also great for those looking to avoid caffeine altogether but still want a boost from time to time. If you want to try it for yourself, the folks at pureLyft have offered us a discount code. Just use the code getLYFTed25 at checkout and you’ll save 25% on your order!
I am now an official contributor to TravelingMom.com! I’ll be “Do It All Traveling Mom“, mainly because whenever I go on a trip I want to do everything under the sun. I’m looking forward to writing for them because travel has been a passion of mine for as long as I can remember. My travels slowed down a little once we started having kids but now that the girls are old enough not to drive me nuts, I see lots of trips in our future!
If you’ve never checked out the Traveling Mom site, it’s a really great resource. You’ll find everything from tips on traveling to Disney World to how to save on London theater tickets (my latest). Next time you’re planning a trip, be sure to check it out!
These mermaid tail blankets are high on my list of favorite things these days! How cute are they for snuggling up on the couch and having a Netflix & chill night?! Originally I was looking at these as Christmas gifts for my girls but now I totally want one for myself. I think that out of all the colors, this purple striped one is my favorite, though it’s always hard to pass up pink! I hope Santa knows I’ve been good this year because you’re never too old to be a mermaid, right?
