Thanks so much to the Lake Buena Vista Resort Village And Spa for hosting our stay. As always, all opinions are my own. This post also contains affiliate links to help you find the best deals on some of my favorite places.

We love Orlando and when our kids went to vacation with Grandma and Grandpa, we planned a little getaway. After all, we don’t get many kid free vacations. We were planning to see what it was like to do Orlando without hitting the theme parks and booked a stay at the Lake Buena Visit Resort Village And Spa. Offering condo style suites and a central location, it seemed like the perfect choice.

The Suites

We checked into our room and had a look around. One thing I really like about these is that because they are condo style suites, you get the advantage having your own kitchen. Food can be one of the biggest expenses on a vacation and being able to cook at least some of your own meals can save a lot of money. The kitchen comes completely stocked and if you’re flying in, you can even have groceries delivered so you don’t have to worry about getting to the store. If you just need a few things, there’s a convenience store on property with food, wine, toiletries and more.

Our condo was a two bedroom but you can choose from one, two, three and even four bedroom suites, depending on the size of your family. Depending on when you book, rooms can be as low as $179 for a 2 bedroom/2 bath suite (I came across a flash sale for mid-July). Normally, these suites run $250 per night, which is still a great deal when you look at all that you’re getting.

The guest bedroom comes with two double beds and my girls would have loved having their own television! There’s also plenty of closet and drawer space to unpack clothes and store suitcases.

The master bedroom was spacious and also had lots of storage space. I liked that the closet was big and came with plenty of hangers, something I never seem to have enough of. Hmmm, could that be a sign that I pack too much?

The rooms at Lake Buena Vista Resort Village And Spa are bright and airy

There were two sinks in the bathroom, so I could spread out my stuff without getting in Jon’s way. I also loved the large jacuzzi style bathtub, though unfortunately I never found time to test it out. Unlike a standard hotel, these suites don’t come with daily maid service but you can add it for an extra fee.

The suite was great but the best part was the view! The pool features a giant pirate ship, complete with waterslide.

We loved our view from our balcony.

The Lake Buena Vista Resort Village And Spa Pool Area

I was loving the kid free vacation but I did feel a little tinge of guilt when I saw the pool. My girls would have absolutely loved it! It was a little rainy but if you know anything about Florida weather, it can be pouring down rain one minute, with clear, sunny skies 20 minutes later! Later we went down to check it out.

One of the highlights at The Lake Buena Vista Resort Village And Spa is the pool.

The pool stays open pretty late so even if you spend the day at the theme parks, you might still have time for a swim afterwards. Why not wear the kids out just a little bit more, right?

Even though I’m officially a grown-up, or so I’m told, I thought the pool was amazing! How cool is this pirate ship, complete with waterslide?! Every kid looked like they were having the time of their lives! You could probably just stay here and skip the parks altogether.

Kids love the giant pirate ship with waterslide.

While the pool was a kids dream, there were also plenty of great spots for the adults to hang out, starting with Lani’s Luau pool bar. Here you can grab some snacks, sandwiches, salads or even a daiquiri or margarita. They’re also open for breakfast and I thought the prices were very reasonable…breakfast sandwiches were under $5.

You can order lunch at Lani's Luau while you relax by the pool.

My hubby loves hammocks so they had a special area set up just for him. Okay, maybe it was for everyone but he definitely made himself at home!

If you want to get away from it all, there a more secluded deck on the roof of Lani’s Luau.

Head to the roof of Lani's Luau if you're looking for a more quiet space.

Don’t forget to bring your camera and take an “artsy” shot through the picture frame…so fun!

Additional On Site Amenities

Besides Lani’s Luau, there’s a Pizza Hut and an Irish Pub on property.

The Lake Buena Vista Resort Village And Spa also features an Irish Pub

With a last name like O’Driscoll, how could we possibly pass up having a pint at the Irish Pub. It was nice and I really liked that we could just walk over.

The next day, it was time to treat myself. While Jon slept in, I headed to the Reflections Full Service Salon & Spa for an Island Bliss Hot Stone Pedicure. I can’t even remember the last time I had a pedicure…I’m usually too busy driving to gymnastics and orthodontist appointments. I’ve never had a hot stone pedicure and it felt amazing, definitely something I need to do more often. They also offer manicures, massages, facials, body treatments and hair care treatments.

There are even spa services for the kids. Teens and tweens can get a Little Mermaid Teen Facial, an ice cream mani/pedi or a princess makeover. Boys can opt for the Pirate Takeover.
