I was all set to start my diet last week. In fact, I did start it and was doing great. I had already lost a couple pounds and then I got a surprise visit from a couple of my Atlanta friends. That was the end of that! It started off with Cheesecake Factory cheesecake the first night and ended with a grouper sandwich and fries on the last night. Oops! I probably would have done better but it’s easier to give up on a diet when you’re just a couple days in. Needless to say, the pounds that I lost the first few days found me very quickly. It’s time to start over and see if I can actually stick to it this time.
If you missed last week, I’m going on my tried and true slow-carb diet. It worked wonders when I was trying to lose the baby weight with my youngest…I ended up weighing less than before I had gotten pregnant. However, I’ve gained a few pounds since moving to Florida and am trying to lose 10 pounds in 3 weeks by giving up carbs (SO hard for me), dairy, fruits and anything with sugar. Yes, this means no cheese & crackers with my wine. I AM still allowed to have wine on this diet though my dieting rule is that wine and movie popcorn are always exempt anyway!
I’ve picked healthy meals again for this weeks Meal Plan Monday and they all look so yummy! I really can’t wait to try that Bruschetta Chicken!!!
