Looking for easy ways to spend more quality time with the kids? Make cooking dinner a family affair with these Easy Crescent Pizza Wraps!
Thanks to Farm Rich for partnering with me to create this fun recipe with my girls. All opinions are 100% my own.
Do you ever look at your kids and wonder how they’ve grown up so fast? I know I do! When my oldest was born, everybody told me to enjoy it because they grow up in the blink of an eye. I remember thinking at the time that it was such a cliche but it turns out that there’s definitely some truth to it.
That’s why, even when everyday life gets hectic, my hubby and I never want to get too busy for quality time with our girls. Goodness knows they’ll be teenagers soon enough and won’t want to spend time with us anyway! Luckily, we’ve got a few more years before that happens…at least I hope so!
Quality time doesn’t have to be extravagant or even involve a lot of planning. We’ve had some of our best times just drawing with sidewalk chalk in the driveway! Who knew sidewalk chalk was so much fun as a grownup. I’ve found plenty of ways to work family time into our regular routine and even created this printable list to make it easy.
One of my favorite ways to spend quality time with the girls is cooking together. We have to eat anyway, right? I might as well let them help and have fun with it. Of course, I always try to plan an easy recipe for them and that’s why I love Farm Rich products so much. I already loved them for snacks and appetizers but I’ve also discovered that they’re great for meals too. They’re made with wholesome ingredients, are easy to prepare and they make my kids happy…what more could a mom ask for?!
We chose to make Pizza Wraps using Farm Rich Mozzarella Sticks. Not only do these Mozzarella Sticks taste great but they’re made with 100% real mozzarella cheese and pack a little extra protein punch. I love that we can each make these pizza wraps however we want. I just set out the ingredients and everyone does their own thing.
Farm Rich Mozzarella Sticks are pretty easy to find. Just look for them in the frozen food aisle or check the product finder here.
My girls were so excited and couldn’t wait to get started! They love being the “cookers” (as my four year old puts it) but their tastes couldn’t be more different. Ashling wanted her pizza wrap with nothing but sauce, cheese and peppers while Keira and I went the whole nine yards and used every ingredient.
To make our wraps, I sprinkled a little flour on a cutting board, unrolled a crescent dough sheet and cut it into six equal pieces (a pizza cutter works best)
Each of us took a piece of dough and spread pizza sauce in the middle, being careful not to get too close to the edges (otherwise the edges don’t stick together as well). Then we added our ingredients. Mine had sauce, pepperoni, a Mozzarella Stick, diced red and green peppers and olives…yumm!
Finally, we folded one side up, pressed the dough together at the top and bottom, then did the same with the other side
The “cookers” were done so now it was time to bake their creations.
I sprayed a cookie sheet with non-stick cooking spray, then baked them at 375°.
Once the wraps turned a golden brown (about 15-17 minutes), we served them fresh out of the oven with a side salad.
Not only did the girls and I love these but my hubby couldn’t get enough. I’d made three extra wraps for him and he finished them all. That’s a true sign of success in my house!
