Do you skip breakfast in the morning because you just don’t have time?  This Triple Berry Breakfast Smoothie is a triple whammy…quick, healthy and delicious too!

This delicious fresh berry smoothie is not only delicious, it's healthy too! It's perfect for a quick breakfast or as a summer treat.

Sometimes it feels like my family is constantly on the go and we’re always in a hurry, especially in the mornings.  Getting two girls ready for school can definitely be challenging and there never seems to be enough time, especially when you have one in the “I do it myself” stage.  I know it only takes a few extra minutes to put on her own shoes but it seriously feels like hours!  As much as I get everything ready the night before, I still find that by the time I’m ready to head out the door, a decent breakfast is the last thing I have time for.

Of course, everybody knows that breakfast is the most important meal of the day so I realized that my bad breakfast habits needed to change.  When I found out about Carnation Breakfast Essentials®, they sounded like something I definitely needed to check out.  I knew it would be perfect for smoothies and when my family found out, they wanted in on the smoothie action too!

The bonus would be that switching from cereal to smoothies would surely shave a few minutes off my daughter’s “getting ready” time.  I wanted to get started right away so I ran over to Walmart to pick up the Carnation Breakfast Essentials®, easily finding them in the cereal aisle.

Carnation Essential are perfect for your triple berry breakfast smoothie

There are several varieties to choose from but I thought the French Vanilla would make for a tasty breakfast smoothie.  I also picked up a pack of the Chocolate Breakfast Essentials® Complete Nutritional Drink.  Though we’re planning to have the smoothies every morning, I thought I’d get these too, just in case.  I really just wanted to try the chocolate flavor because, well, it’s chocolate!  Do I need a better reason than that?

All the ingredients you need for your triple berry breakfast smoothie

I thought a Triple Berry Smoothie with would be a delicious way to start the morning and it’s so easy that you can make it in just a few simple steps!  Throw your fruit in the blender, then add Carnation Breakfast Essentials® Classic French Vanilla , skim milk and ice.  To make it even easier, prepare and measure your fruit the night before so you can skip that step in the morning…you could even do a few days worth at a time.  Blend for a minute or so and you’re good to go!  The best part is that this smoothie has only 212 calories and less than 30 grams of sugar!

If you freeze the fruit you may eliminate the ice. Mayber add a little extra milk.

The more berries the better! This looks amazing and so refreshing!
