After buying this fixer upper months ago and having it completely renovated, we FINALLY moved in this week (and even have our first houseguests already!). As I was editing the pictures for this post, even I had forgotten how awful parts of the house looked before, especially the kitchen. It’s been really fun going through the before & after pictures and we are so happy with how everything turned out! We were lucky enough to have a great contractor (Buddy Wood from Cahill Homes) and he made it all look so easy! This is actually just the first of two final reveals. I’ll post again in about a month once we’ve unpacked and have all our coastal style décor in place.
Okay, I know you’re not here to listen to me talk about how much we love our house. You’ve come to see the pictures of the “Big Reveal” (and if you’ve missed anything along the way, you can check out all the previous Remodel Monday posts here).
The kitchen has been the biggest transformation by far! We pretty much just had everything replaced and started fresh. Our new countertops are probably my favorite new thing in the entire house!
We had new cabinets installed in the laundry room (and of course we got rid of the outdated washer & dryer)
I LOVE the new flooring we used for the living room!
We had to give the master bath an overhaul. The cabinets, counters, flooring, lighting, mirrors and the showerhead and faucet handles all need replacing. We added the same granite countertops to the bathrooms too because we liked the look so much!
Oops…didn’t mean to get myself in the picture above (just ignore that). Initially I was just taking these pictures for our own use and wasn’t planning to blog about it, so I wasn’t very picky about my photography.
We made the same changes in the main bathroom and the pool/guest bath. The wooden toilet seat in this bathroom HAD to go!!!
If you missed any of the previous posts, here are some before and after shots that I’ve shared.
We are so excited with how our house turned out. Yes, we ended up spending much more than we originally expected but we love the end result! For the moment, we still have boxes everywhere but I can’t wait until we can get settled in and really enjoy it. The pool is calling!!!
Thanks so much for following us on this adventure each week. I plan to post soon with pictures of the bedrooms once they are fully decorated. One will have a Frozen theme and the other will be all about the Disney Princesses (yes, we are big time Disney fans in this family)! Don’t forget to check back to see the entire house once we’re completely finished decorating!
