Are you as excited as I am that the holiday season is here? It really is the most wonderful time of the year and I’m so ready to pull those decorations out of storage! Watch out neighbors, the light display is going to be even bigger and better than last year!
I’m also ready to get started on my shopping! I’m not one of those people who picks up gifts throughout the year because there’s something exciting about shopping during the holidays. I love hitting a great sale and finding that perfect gift for everyone on my list. Plus, it gives me a secret thrill when I score a really great deal on something I’ve been looking for!
If you like holiday shopping as much as I do, you’re going to love this! Best Buy is kicking off the shopping season with a special Holiday Shopping Event on Saturday, November 5th from 1-5pm. For one day only, they’ll be offering exclusive in-store deals on brands like Apple, Microsoft, Samsung and Sony. I’m definitely going because this year we’re buying my 9 year old her first computer and I want to find the best deal I possibly can. Best Buy will have experts on hand to answer all our questions and we’ll also get to see demos for the latest in tech toys, connected home and connected car.
I’m all about the tech toys and I can’t wait to check them out! I’ve already peeked online and picked out a few favorites:
My girls would go absolutely nuts for this! Not only does this robot friend respond to voice commands, he (she?) sings and dances too. There’s also an app to teach your child coding…I’m going to listen carefully because maybe I’ll even learn a little something. You can also add apps and accessories help Dash Robot move on to bigger and better tasks.
I seriously want to find this under my tree on Christmas morning. I feel a little geeky admitting it but I don’t care. The coolest thing about this droid is that it comes with a technology infused wrist band so I can use my best Jedi-master hand gestures to control him. He responds to voice commands and you can also record and view virtual holographic videos, just like Princess Leia’s. This is definitely one of those gifts I’d get for my hubby, just so I could steal it away from him when he wasn’t looking.
This fun speaker would be like my own personal assistant. It uses voice commands to let you listen to music, get answers from Google and take care of everyday things. Another benefit? I could always be sure that there was at least one person (or thing) in my house hanging on my every word!
Best Buy has a lot more where these came from and if you live near one of these 400 stores, you’ll be able to check out the demos too.
Do you already have your Christmas list made out or are you winging it this year? Which of these tech toys do you think your family members would like best?
