We may not be able to head to Disney right now but at least we can bring a little Disney fun home with #DisneyMagicMoments! From kid’s activities to virtual rides, it’s got everything you need to experience all things Disney from the comfort of your sofa!
The world has gotten a little crazy these days! Less than two months ago, I was having the time of my life, first at Disney World and then cruising on board the Disney Dream. At the time, social distancing just meant hanging out on the kid-free side of Castaway Cay!
Now things are a little different and we’ve been hanging at home for the past three weeks. We haven’t left except for me heading out for one “stock up” trip to the grocery store (though I realized I may have gone overboard when I saw the $498 total!!!)
Aside from trying to figure out the homeschooling stuff, the extra family time has been fun! Game nights and movie nights have always been big for us and now we’re doing them more than ever. Of course, Disney movies have always been a top pick for movie night, especially since the debut of Disney+ last year.
We’ve been watching everything from Frozen 2 to Onward and next up are the two newest Disneynature films, Elephant and Dolphin Reef! I’ve even found a way to work in some homeschooling credit…Disneynature films totally count as a science lesson, right?
My blogging friends have had some fun Disney ideas too and one of my favorites is from Princess Turned Mom. Disney Movies Around The World is virtual tour around the world featuring some of our favorite Disney movie locations. It comes complete with passports, activities and even food suggestions. I think we may just have a social studies lesson here!
#DisneyMagicMoments
While I’m definitely missing our trips to Disney, I love that Disney is bringing the fun to us with a brand new website, Disney Magic Moments. This site has all things Disney, from Marvel, Pixar and Star Wars to National Geographic, Disney Parks and lots more.
For starters, you can take virtual rides through some of the attractions, including Disneyland’s “It’s A Small World”.
In addition to the virtual rides, you can watch brand new shorts featuring Olaf. Who doesn’t need more Frozen in their life, right? I am SUCH a huge fan of Josh Gad and these new videos couldn’t be cuter! Kids can also get crafty and learn how to draw Olaf too (now we have an art lesson too!).
Skip around and the kids can listen to a story read by Ming-Na Wen, the original voice of Mulan and enjoy lunch doodles with author Mo Willems (I’m totally counting this as language arts!) It’s not all just for the kids though. They’ve got my crush John Stamos reading a story too and I know they put him in there just for us moms!
Want to squeeze in a music lesson? The kids can jam along with the JAMMitors, who are improvising from home in this fun video.

We’re loving all the videos and activities I’m so glad that we’ve got #DisneyMagicMoments to tide us over until everything is back to normal. Plus, this homeschool thing is hard and if I can work Disney into it our lessons, I’m all in! Check it out for yourself at Disney Magic Moments (and check out the Disney magic behind the scenes here).
We are looking forward to our next trip to the Magic Kingdom for sure. Have you had a chance to Check out these Fun Disney Attractions that make it so worth going?
