Did you love Mary Poppins as a child? If so, you’re going to love the new Mary Poppins Returns, Disney’s new twist on a favorite classic!
I’m so glad that I don’t have to wait much longer! The premiere of Disney’s Mary Poppins Returns is just months away, hitting theaters on December 19th. I can’t wait to introduce my girls to a character I’ve loved since I was their age and am looking forward to seeing the new spin that Disney puts on one of my favorite stories.
Disney’s Mary Poppins Returns
Now there’s an all new sneak peek featuring music and magic from the new movie. Pay attention and you’ll even see Dick Van Dyke! I LOVE that Disney has put him in this movie. He’s a Hollywood legend and I’d watch him in anything…especially a new Mary Poppins movie!

In Disney’s MARY POPPINS RETURNS, an all-new original musical and sequel, Mary Poppins is back to help the next generation of the Banks family find the joy and wonder missing in their lives following a personal loss. Emily Blunt stars as the practically-perfect nanny with unique magical skills who can turn any ordinary task into an unforgettable, fantastic adventure and Lin-Manuel Miranda plays her friend Jack, an optimistic street lamplighter who helps bring light—and life—to the streets of London.
This is just the first of many awesome Disney movies coming out in the next few years! I’m excited for this movie but I’ll also be first in line for Dumbo, The Lion King, Mulan and especially Aladdin (Will Smith as the Genie? Perfect casting!). Plus there’s Frozen 2, The Little Mermaid and so many more. I have a feeling my girls and I will be spending lots of time at the movies!
While we’re on the subject of movies, if you want to see an amazing movie without the kids, you’ll have to check out Welcome To Marwen when it comes out in December! Starring Steve Carrel and Leslie Mann, it’s the true story of a man who overcomes serious life challenges in a very unique way.
I’ll admit, I’m slightly biased because my brother-in-law is the editor but it truly looks like an amazing movie and I just had to share!
