Disney’s #DreamBigPrincess Celebration
I’ve always loved the Disney princesses and when I had my daughters, I passed that love along to them. Now we’re joining Disney’s #DreamBigPrincess Celebration for the International Day of the Girl.
The “Dream Big, Princess” campaign is inviting everyone to to Disney bound in outfits inspired by our favorite female Disney characters. Here’s how you can help…
On October 11th, the United Nations’ International Day Of The Girl, dress up in your favorite Disney bounding outfit. Share your photo, or even a video, with #DreamBigPrincess on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter to unlock a $1 donation from Disney Worldwide Services. These donations will go to the United Nations Foundation’s program Girl Up, supporting girl’s leadership and empowerment. They’ll donate a minimum of $500,000 and a maximim of $1 million! Think of all the good that money can do!
This movement continues through November 20th so keep liking or sharing those photos or videos! Also, stay tuned for the #DreamBigPrincess video series premiering this month. Twenty one women from 13 countries will share stories of inspiration and sadvice from female trailblazers around the world.
This is all part of Disney’s ongoing initiative , the “Dream Big, Princess” campaign. It encourages kids everywhere to dream big by focusing on key story elements and the inspiring qualities of our favorite Disney princesses. Whether it’s Cinderella’s kindness, Tiana’s perserverance or Merida’s bravery, each of the princesses has special qualities that can inspire my own girls and help them grow into the strong young women that I know they have inside them.
What better reason is there to dress up and inspire future generations everywhere?!
