*I received this product for free to review as part of a campaign with FabFitFun and Bloggin’ Mamas. However, this does not influence my review and all opinions are my own (and you know how I love to share my opinions).
Everybody’s been talking about these new subscription boxes but until now I had yet to try one out. There are a lot of different ones out there but I was very excited to be selected by FabFitFun to review theirs because it seems most suited to my likes and personality! Don’t know about subscription boxes yet? They all vary a little bit but when you sign up for FabFitFun’s subscription box, you get a seasonal gift box delivered to you every three months. You pay $49.99 but your box contains over $200 worth of goodies (mine was valued at over $279)! You’ll receive a mix of fun beauty, fashion, fitness, wellness and home products. The best part is that these are all full size products, not just samples. What makes it great is that you never know what you’re going to get so every box is a surprise…it’s kind of like opening presents on Christmas morning! Want to see all the fun stuff that came with mine???
The first thing out of the box was The Everyday Wireless Speaker. I LOVE this! It’s so convenient because it’s small enough to throw in my purse and take with me anywhere…and as a special bonus, mine was pink!!!
I was really happy to get this Gorge “I’ll Make You Look Amazing” Daily Spray. My hair is always so dry that I use a lot of leave in conditioners and this one promises to restore moisture and repair all damage. At $24.95 a bottle, I probably wouldn’t have taken a chance on it so it’s awesome to be able to try it out for free. I also like this Spray Moisturizer with Aloe from Vaseline Intensive Care. Living in Florida, we spend a lot of time in the sun and this will come in handy. These are the products from this box that I will definitely use the most!
I’m looking forward to trying out the Hello Konjac Cleansing sponge. I know that I need to exfoliate more and now I have no excuse not to! This sponge is made from Konjac vegetable fibers and is an all-natural way to take care of my skin. I’ve always loved to eat my veggies so why not use them on my skin too!
Like many moms, I’d like to work out more but it’s hard to find the time. Did you know that you can burn around 150 calories just by jumping rope for 10 minutes? This is something you can do whenever you want. FabFitFun teamed up with Cosmopolitan to share the perfect jump rope, complete with workout videos. I’m not sure I can do it in my house without knocking something over but I could definitely bring it outside when the kids are playing and get a mini-workout! I’ve already tried it out and quickly learned that I need a lot of practice!
Also included were this Tarte Lipsurgence Lipgloss and Inkly Scents Sultry Roll-on Oil Perfume. Together they retail for $44 which is almost the total price of the subscription box. This is a great deal for those that regularly use these types of products. However, I very rarely wear perfume (by rarely, I mean maybe once a year at most) so this won’t be something that I use. I do like the lipgloss but the pink is a little too dark for me…I tend to wear lighter colors. I’ll probably just share these items with friends.
Also a great steal but something I personally wouldn’t use is this 3 month free subscription to Headspace. Headspace is an app that offers a series of guided meditations and is used by such celebs as Emma Watson and Gwyneth Paltrow. However, I’m not really a meditation kind of girl so I’ll probably pass this on to someone that I know will enjoy it.
I’ve never tried nail wraps before but I think I’ll give these a try, just for fun. I’m not sure about the triangle pattern but who knows, I may just like it…
The last little treasure is this Wren 14kt Gold & Black Sapphire Necklace. This isn’t really something I’d go out and buy for myself because I don’t wear a lot of jewelry. However, when I do wear jewelry, I love dainty little pieces like this and it was a nice addition to the box!
Overall, this would have been a good deal for me since the items that I liked and will use would have cost well over the $49.99 price of the subscription. If you’d like your own FabFitFun box, use the code FUNMONEY to get $10 off.
