Planning a road trip? You're going to need road trip games to keep the kids entertained! Older kids will love playing the license plate game while younger ones will have fun with the road trip scavenger hunt. Throw these free printables in the back and you're good to go! #RoadTripOil #ad

We love to travel and since we’ve moved to Florida, it seems like we’re always on the go. With so many fun places within driving distance, why not?! Of course, we can’t just take off on a whim, especially with kids . We have to make sure the car is road trip ready and we also need to bring plenty of things to keep the kids entertained. After all, happy kids make for happy parents!

It’s a good idea to make a pit stop at Walmart before any road trip! Since I’m there at least once a week, using their Automotive Care Center just makes sense. It doesn’t get much more convenient because I’m able to get the oil changed while we shop for snacks, wet wipes and all the other things we’ll need for our trip.

My car has just over 66K miles so I get the Pennzoil Platinum®: Full Synthetic Motor Oil with PurePlus™  Technology but as soon as I hit 75K, I’m switching over to Pennzoil® High Mileage Vehicle®. I really like that Pennzoil helps clean out the sludge that lower quality oils leave behind. Plus, letting the experts take care of it for me leaves me one less thing to worry about.

You probably already know that shopping at Walmart saves you money, but you can also find savings on the Walmart Automotive Care Center Rollback page. Right now there’s a great Pennzoil Rollback and you can also use the site to find a location closest to you.

Once the car is all set, it’s time to take care of the entertainment. Since my nine year old has become fascinated with spotting license plates from around the country, I’ve created a game that she can play in the car. Not only does she have fun playing it, it keeps her off technology for awhile! I printed a copy on card stock and laminated it. Now my daughter can keep it in the car to use whenever she wants and if she doesn’t find all 50 states on our road trip, she can keep playing indefinitely.

Of course, this is a little too complicated for my five year old, especially since she’s not reading yet. Instead, I made a special Road Trip Scavenger Hunt for her. She doesn’t even have to read. She just finds the items in the pictures and puts an “X” in the appropriate box when she sees one. Like the last game, this one was printed on card stock and laminated.

The license plate game may take awhile so I recommend using a sharpie to keep the ink from rubbing off. If your child wants to start over, just remove the sharpie marks by rubbing a little nail polish remover on them.

My girls thought these printables were so much fun and even play them when we’re just driving around town. I may even print out an extra license plate game so that I can play while my hubby drives! You’re never too old for fun and games, right?

We’re definitely not too old for fun games like this! We have a roadtrip coming up, and I’m totally thinking about using the license plate game just for us (our son is too young). Thanks for the games, and thanks for sharing the Pennzoil rollback info, too! #client

Awesome! Thank you so much for making these! 😀
