It’s Back-To-School time and this year I’ll be sending both kids off too school! My girls are very excited to meet their new teachers and wanted to help me put together some teacher gift bags to start the school year off right. I was a teacher for years and remember just how much work goes into getting everything ready for a new group of students. We wanted to let their teachers know just how much they’re already appreciated!
One thing teachers can never have enough of are extra school supplies. Candles and lotions are nice, but it was always the pens and notepads that I used the most. Of course, a yummy treat never hurts either. Since my oldest still needed her school supplies, we went to Walmart because I knew they’d have everything from her supply list as well as what we needed for our teacher gift. I really love it when I can accomplish everything in one trip, especially when I’m shopping with two kids in tow!
If there’s one thing I’ve learned about office and school supplies, it’s that not all pens are created equal. It drives me crazy when I go to use a pen, especially a new one, and a big blob of ink comes out on my paper…yuck! I wanted to get good quality pens and immediately reached for Pilot G2 Pens.
Not only are they America’s #1 selling gel ink brand but they also come in four point sizes and 15 different colors. I picked up the variety packs so that the teachers would have different colors to use…teachers love to color code things! Since the G2 pens have also been proven to write longer than all other gel brands, I knew they’d also be able to use them for a long time. I picked up a couple extra packs for myself while I was at it! Before you buy your own Pilot G2 pens, be sure to download this coupon so you can take .75 off any one 4 pack (or larger) of G2 Gel Ink Pens.
Walmart also had pretty notebooks and notepads and a teacher can never have too many of those.
I added a few other colorful supplies, including these fun sticky notes.
Finally, teachers always love a little treat and the girls volunteered to help me make some yummy chocolate chip cookies.
Now we had everything we needed and were ready to put our goody bags together.
We put everything into gift bags and added a pretty bow at the top. Now all that’s left is to deliver them.
Ashling and Keira were so excited to start their first day of school with gifts for their teachers.
Not only is the Pilot G2 a great pen, they’re also doing their part to help others. Shonda Rhimes, creator and executive producer of Grey’s Anatomy, has teamed up with Pilot G2 to spread the word about the Overachievers Grant and why she’s a fan of G2. Check out her video to learn more.
