Looking for the perfect Christmas gift for girls? There’s one gift that never goes out of style and your little one will love waking up to see this by the tree!
Trying to find the perfect Christmas gift for girls can be a challenge. For me, it’s hard to narrow down the hundreds of things my five year old has asked for, especially since I know the toy she just asked for last month probably isn’t even on her radar anymore. There’s one Christmas gift that every kids wants though. In fact, I wanted one when I was young, our parents wanted one and even our grandparents probably had one on their Christmas list. Every kid wants a new bike for Christmas!
The Perfect Christmas Gift For Girls
My daughter has been begging for a new bike for the longest time. She had her big sister’s bike but it was a hand-me-down and not exactly in the best of shape. It was time to get Keira her very own “big girl” bike.
Since she’s a girly girl and loves all things Barbie, I knew Walmart would be just the place to find a bike. I already buy all her toys there so it just made sense and it was pretty easy to find the perfect bike. The 16″ Barbie Girls’ Bike by Dynacraft seemed custom made just for Keira. I knew she’d love it and couldn’t wait to surprise her with an early Christmas present!
First things first…we had to put the bike together. By “we”, I mean that I asked my husband to do it. The best part of being married is that I don’t have to mow the lawn or assemble things that say “some assembly required”. It actually looked easy enough that I could have done it if I had to (but I didn’t!).
Not only is this bike super cute, I love how affordable it is. Just $69 at Walmart, it’s a lot less expensive than many of the toys my daughters ask for and fits almost any budget. That works out great if you have more than one kid to buy for.
It didn’t take long before my hubby had the bike put together, just waiting for someone to come along and ride it.
This bike has a sturdy steel frame design and coaster breaks that are easy to use. The faux pink and purple chrome finish gives it that shiny, sparkly looks that little girls love. I was happy that the bike came with training wheels too, since we’re not quite ready for two wheels yet. I thought the heart shaped puppy paw was a cute touch.
Though the bike was beautiful, I already knew what Keira’s favorite feature was going to be. She was going to fall in love with the adorable puppy peaking out of the front basket.
We couldn’t wait for Keira to get home from school so we could surprise her!
Once she got her new helmet on, she was off to the races! This bike was really easy for her to ride.
What kid doesn’t love a new bike, right? Keira was no exception! She was having so much fun that we stayed outside the rest of the day. She wasn’t asking for TV and she wasn’t asking for YouTube videos…she just wanted to stay outside and ride her bike. It doesn’t get much better than that when you’re a parent!
I left my old bike behind when we moved to Florida but now I think I need a new one too. Since both kids are old enough for bikes now, a family bike ride sounds like a great way to spend quality time together.
I can’t imagine a better Christmas gift than a brand new bike! It’s perfect for when you’re shopping for nieces or nephews and have no idea what to get them. You just can’t go wrong with a new bike! This one sure was and it got the ultimate Keira seal of approval, two thumbs up.
I’m pretty sure I’m not going to have to worry about keeping her entertained for awhile.
What are you planning to get the kids this Christmas? Do you think they’d be excited to find a new bicycle waiting for them under the tree?
