Soft Pretzel Bites

These soft pretzel bites make the perfect salty snack for football parties & other gatherings!

Ingredients!

Active dry yeast  Sugar Butter  Warm water Salt All-purpose flour Baking soda Egg Coarse salt

Step 1

Combine warm water and sugar. Stir until the sugar dissolves, then sprinkle yeast across the top of the water.

Step 2

Next, add the melted butter, regular salt and about half the flour to the bowl.

Step 3

Use the dough hook attachment to mix on low speed until the flour is completely incorporated

Step 4

Slowly add more flour until dough isn’t as sticky & begins to pull away from sides of the bowl.

Step 5

knead dough for 5 minutes. Place in lightly greased bowl, cover loosely and let rise rise for 30 minutes.

Step 6

Separate dough into 8 pieces. Roll first piece into a long rope-like shape & use a sharp knife to cut it into one inch pieces. Repeat with remaining dough.

Step 7

Fill a large pot with 10 cups of water and 1/2 cup baking soda. Bring to a boil.

Step 8

Place pretzels in baking soda bath. Cook for 30 seconds, then use a slotted spoon to remove them. Brush with egg wash.

Step 9

Sprinkle pretzel salt over the pretzel bites and bake at 425 for 15 minutes or until golden brown.

Step 10

Serve warm with yellow mustard, cheese sauce or other favorite dipping sauces.
