Homemade Strawberry Syrup

Ingredients

  • 16 oz Strawberries
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 tbsp corn starch

Instructions

  • Hull and chop strawberries
  • Mix cornstarch with just enough water to dissolve it (I used 2 tablespoons of water)
  • Combine strawberries, sugar and water in a saucepan and cook over medium heat.
  • Once strawberries begin to soften, stir in cornstarch mixture.
  • Simmer until syrup reaches a thick consistency, approximately 20 minutes.
  • Remove from heat and let sit for 5 minutes. Serve warm.
