Homemade Strawberry Syrup

- 16 oz Strawberries
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup water
- 1 tbsp corn starch
Hull and chop strawberries
Mix cornstarch with just enough water to dissolve it (I used 2 tablespoons of water)
Combine strawberries, sugar and water in a saucepan and cook over medium heat.
Once strawberries begin to soften, stir in cornstarch mixture.
Simmer until syrup reaches a thick consistency, approximately 20 minutes.
Remove from heat and let sit for 5 minutes. Serve warm.
