Instructions

For The Cupcakes

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees and line cupcake pans with cupcake liners.
  • In a large bowl, whisk the chocolate cake and pudding mixes together. Using a stand or hand mixer, mix the eggs, water, and oil into the dry ingredients on medium speed for 1 minute or until thoroughly combined.
1 box chocolate fudge cake mix, 1 box Chocolate Fudge Jello Pudding, 1 cup water, 3 eggs, 1/3 cup vegetable oil
  • Use a rubber spatula to fold the peanut butter chips into the cupcake batter.
    1/2 cup peanut butter chips
  • Spoon the chocolate cupcake batter into the paper liners until each cup is about 2/3 full.
  • Sprinkle with the remining ¼ cup peanut butter chips. (You can use a cookie scoop or a standard ice cream scoop to make this step easier.)
  • Bake for 18-20 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean. Place on a wire rack and allow to cool completely before frosting.

For The Frosting

  • Place the butter in a separate bowl and beat on high speed for 2 minutes, or until light and fluffy.
    1 1/2 sticks unsalted butter
  • Add in the powdered sugar, alternating with the milk or cream until it forms small stiff peaks.
3-4 cups powdered sugar, 3 tablespoons milk
  • Add the peanut butter and mix until thoroughly blended.
    1/3 cup peanut butter
  • Place frosting in a piping bag and use your favorite piping tip to frost the cupcakes.
  • Sprinkle the Nestle Toll House Chocolate Peanut Caramel Morsels & More on top of the cupcakes. Enjoy!
1/3 cup Nestle Toll House Chocolate Peanut Caramel Morsels & More

Notes

  • Be sure to let your butter warm to room temperature before starting. This will ensure that you have a creamier frosting without any lumps.
  • If you can't find this particular brand of Nestle Toll House Morsels, you can use equal amounts of milk chocolate chips, caramel chips and peanuts to make 1/3 cup.
