Instructions

  • Start by crushing up peppermint candy or mini candy canes with a rolling pin or a food processor until it’s in really small bits.
    1 cup crushed peppermint candy
  • Place the white chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl. Melt chocolate in the microwave in 20 to 30-second increments, stirring between each interval.
    16 ounces white chocolate chips
  • While the chocolate is melting, separate each Oreo cookie.
    24 Double Stuf Oreo cookies
  • Flatten one end of the paper straw and dip the flattened end in the melted chocolate.
  • Lightly press the straw in the middle of the Oreo cream filling, then place the Oreo top on top of the straw and gently press. Repeat with the rest of the Oreos.
  • Dip each cookie in the melted chocolate, making sure the whole thing is fully coated.
  • Lift the cookie out of the melted chocolate with a fork and lightly tap the handle of the fork on the side of the bowl to remove excess chocolate from the cookie.
  • Transfer the dipped Oreo pop to a piece of parchment paper or wax paper and immediately top with crushed peppermint.
  • Allow the chocolate on the peppermint Oreos to harden before serving.

Notes

When buying your Oreos, be sure to buy Double Stuf instead of regular. This will give you more room to insert the straw.
