Instructions

  • Cover a baking sheet with wax paper and set aside
  • Melt 1 1/2 tbsp butter over low heat
    1 1/2 tbsp. butter
  • Add marshmallows, stirring frequently until melted
    2 cups mini marshmallows
  • Remove from heat and stir in Rice Krispies
    3 cups Rice Krispies cereal
  • Use Easter egg mold to form egg shapes, flattening the side facing up
  • Melt chocolate in microwave, stirring frequently
10 oz milk or dark chocolate chips
  • Dip eggs in chocolate and place on wax paper
  • Melt candy melts, one color at a time, and drizzle over eggs using piping bags or squeeze bottles (you can also cut a small piece off the corner of a sandwich bag)
    candy melts in pastel colors
  • Refrigerate until chocolate hardens, approximately 30 minutes

Notes

  • Be careful not to overcook the marshmallow and butter mixture or it could cause your treats to be too hard.
  • If you don't have a mold, you can use a deviled egg holder sprayed with nonstick cooking spray or even plastic Easter eggs. You could also use an egg shaped cookie cutter but treats just won't be rounded on the top.
