Instructions

  • Paint your craft pumpkin with the darker blue color. When it dries, start at the front and paint the bottom half with the light blue paint, sloping down on each side.
A hand holds a foam craft pumpkin, painted dark blue on the top half and light blue on the bottom half, against a plain white background.
  • Cut out your tracers. Trace the two large ear pieces on blue craft foam and the two smaller ear pieces on beige craft foam.
Two blue and two beige craft foam shapes, each with matching paper templates, are arranged on a white background.
  • Glue the beige ear pieces on top of the blue ones, lining them up so that they are flush at the bottom (you may have to trim them a little).
Two pairs of Bluey ear shapes made of overlapping blue and beige craft foam are placed on a white surface.
  • Use a pencil to trace the outside of the eyes and the snout.
A hand holds a blue pumpkin with a mouse face outline drawn on it, against a plain white background.
  • Next, trace the nose and the eyebrows with the pencil, then go over everything with a black marker.

  • Next, paint the eyes white and the eyebrows light blue. Once the snout is dry, add Bluey's nose.
A hand holds a painted pumpkin featuring a cartoon dog’s face. Paint bottles, a paper plate, and paintbrushes are visible in the background.
  • Once all the paint is dry, add Bluey's pupils and the white accent across the top of his nose. You can glue the ears on now as well. You may need to trim the bottom of the ears slightly so that they sit flush on the pumpkin.

Notes

  • You may need to add an extra layer of paint to the pumpkin if you see any orange peeking through.
  • Try to match the blue foam on the ears to the darker blue paint if possible.
  • It may be easier to trace with pencil, then go back over it with the Sharpie.
