3 ounces espresso 2 shots 1/2 cup milk 1 teaspoon butter extract 1/4 cup caramel coffee creamer 2 tablespoon butterscotch syrup Whipped cream for serving optional Gold sprinkles optional
Pour 2 shots of warm espresso into a 12-ounce mug.
3 ounces espresso
In a metal beaker, combine the milk and caramel creamer, then steam until heated to your preferred temperature.
1/2 cup milk, 1/4 cup caramel coffee creamer
Stir in the butter extract and butterscotch syrup until fully blended.
1 teaspoon butter extract, 2 tablespoon butterscotch syrup
Slowly pour the milk mixture over the espresso.
(Optional) Finish with a swirl of whipped cream and some gold sprinkles.
Use a thermometer if you’re unsure how hot to steam the milk mixture. Around 150°F is gets it just hot enough without scalding it.
Warm your espresso just before making the drink so it stays hot after adding the milk mixture.
If serving in a clear mug, pour the milk mixture slowly over the espresso for a layered look.
Don't forget to leave room in your mug for whipped cream so that it doesn't overflow.
