  • 6 ounces grape or cherry tomatoes
  • 8 ounces small fresh mozzarella balls
  • 8 ounces Swiss or gouda cheese cut into chunks
  • 8 ounces salami
  • 8 ounces prosciutto
  • 6 ounces roasted red peppers drained & sliced
  • 12 ounces mixed olives pitted
  • fresh rosemary sprigs
  • fresh basil leaves
  • crackers or baguette slices optional

Instructions

  • Prepare the skewers with assorted items; 3-4 items each make a perfect serving size. Try to keep things balanced: take one piece of cheese, one olive, one tomato or red pepper, and one cured meat.

  • Arrange rosemary sprigs around a large and round wooden board or plate, making a circle with them and leaving a hole in the middle to give it a wreath shape. Place your skewers around the circle, too.

  • Finally, add fresh basil for nice pops of green. Serve with crackers or baguette slices.

Notes

  • Save time by preparing your skewers the night before, covering them in plastic wrap and refrigerating until ready to serve.
  • Keep your rosemary and basil looking fresh by wrapping them in a wet paper towel and storing them in the refrigerator until ready to use.
