Instructions

  • Paint your jar with white acrylic paint. Let dry for 20-30 minutes and add a second layer and let dry for another 30 minutes.
1 mason jar, white acrylic craft paint
An assortment of art supplies including a jar of white paint, a bottle of glue, a plastic plate, and a green paintbrush, arranged on a white surface.
  • Print the bunny ears tracer cut them out. Trace the large one on white craft foam and the smaller one on pink craft foam.
1 bunny ear template, 1 piece white craft foam, 1 piece pink craft foam
A person tracing oval shapes on paper next to cut-out pink paper ovals and a pair of scissors.
  • Cut out the foam pieces. Glue the inner ear piece to the outer ear piece with hot glue and set aside.
Paper cutouts for bunny ears crafts with templates and pink construction paper on a white surface.
  • Draw the eyes on your bunny. I like to trace a quarter first, using a pencil, then go over it with a black permanent marker. If you're doing this with younger kids, large wiggly eyes work great too.
A white jar with cartoon eyes drawn on it, placed next to a black marker on a white background.
  • Add your heart sticker for the nose (secure with hot glue if needed) and use the marker to add a mouth.
    1 heart sticker
A white jar with a cute face drawn on it next to a black marker on a plain background.
  • Glue the ears to the back of the mason jar lid. Be sure you don't glue them to the jar as well or you won't be able to open the lid later.

  • Cut your chenille stem into six equal pieces. Glue three to each side of the nose.
    1 white chenille
Crafted bunny decoration made from a mason jar with pink interior ears, drawn-on eyes, a pink nose, and string whiskers on a white background.
  • Finally, add a large pom pom to the back for the tail.

  • Now just display your bunny as fun Easter decor or fill it with candy and give it as a gift. Happy Easter

Notes

  • If you're making this with younger kids, you can add wiggly eyes instead of drawing them on with a marker.
  • If you don't have a pink heart sticker for the nose, you can cut a heart out of the pink craft foam instead. You could also draw one on with a pink marker.
