  • 1 ½ cups precooked ham chopped
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese we used sharp cheddar
  • ¼ cup honey mustard plus extra for dipping
  • 1 can crescent rolls 8 count size
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit. and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Set aside about 2-3 tablespoons of the ham and cheese for topping.
    1 ½ cups precooked ham, 1 cup cheddar cheese
  • Combine chopped ham, cheese, and honey mustard in a large bowl. Stir to combine.

  • Unroll the crescent dough sheet into a rectangle on the parchment and press the seams together. Drop large spoonfuls of the ham and cheese mixture down the middle of the crescent sheet. Using a pizza cutter, cut strips along each side of the dough.

  • Braid the strips over the ham and cheese mixture, then top the braid with the reserved ham and cheese.
  • Bake for 16-20 minutes, or until the crescent dough is golden brown. Garnish with fresh parsley, then slice and serve.

Notes

While not necessary, you can brush the top of your crescent dough with an egg wash before baking. (An egg wash is just a beaten egg with a little water or milk mixed in). This will give the top even more of a nice golden color.
