Hawaiian Sliders

These easy Hawaiian Sliders, with savory ham, sweet pineapple and gooey melted Swiss cheese are a fun (and totally delicious) twist on the traditional party appetizer!

Ingredients

  • 12 King’s Hawaiian rolls 1 package
  • 12 slices deli honey ham
  • 12 slices Swiss cheese
  • 1 cup pineapple tidbits drained
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 1/4 cup BBQ sauce
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon dried minced onion
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp pepper

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Prepare a 9x13 baking dish by spraying it with non-stick cooking spray.
  • Using a serrated knife, slice the Hawaiian sweet rolls in half horizontally. Place the bottom half of the rolls in the prepared baking dish.

  • Layer the ham evenly over the bottom of the rolls.

  • Place the cheese over the layer of ham, then add the pineapple.

  • In a small mixing bowl, whisk together the melted butter, BBQ sauce, Dijon mustard, dried minced onion, salt, and pepper.

  • Pour half of the sauce evenly over the pineapple layer.
  • Add the top half of the Hawaiian rolls.
  • Using a silicone brush, evenly coat the tops of the rolls with the remaining sauce mixture.
  • Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake the Hawaiian sliders for 15-20 minutes, or until the sliders are heated through and the cheese is melted.
  • Remove the foil and bake for an additional 5 minutes or until the tops begin to brown.
  • Allow them to cool for a few minutes before cutting into individual sliders.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to two days They can be reheated in a warm oven or in the microwave.
