Apply a base coat to the top one-third of three wooden spoons with the flesh tone color of acrylic craft paint. Let it dry, then apply a second coat, if needed.
Download and print the Wooden Spoon Sanderson Sisters patterns. Using the pattern as a guide, draw the three collars onto the spoons with a pencil.
Paint Mary’s dress on one of the spoons with burgundy acrylic craft paint. Paint Winifred’s dress on the second spoon with green acrylic craft paint, and paint Sarah’s dress on the final spoon with purple acrylic craft paint. Let dry and apply a second coat, if necessary
Cut out the hair from the paper patterns. Using straight pins, attach Mary’s hair to black felt, Sarah’s hair to gold felt, and Winifred’s hair to orange felt. Use scissors to cut out all three hair patterns in felt.
Using a glue gun and glue sticks, attach each sister's hair to the top edge of the wooden spoon.
Turn the three face patterns over and apply a layer of graphite from the pencil over the lips. Fit the face patterns onto each sister, and trace over the lips and beauty marks with the pencil. This will transfer the lip shapes directly onto the spoon faces.
Fill in the lips with red dimensional fabric paint, and the beauty marks with black dimensional fabric paint. Set aside to dry.
To finish, draw the lacing (a series of simple “X” marks linked together) on the three dresses with gold glitter glue. Set aside to dry.
Notes
If you don't have red and black dimensional paint, you can add the lips and beauty mark with permanent markers instead.
