Servings 8
- 8 ounces crescent rolls 1 tube
- 8 hot dogs
- 16 mini candy eyes
- Ketchup & mustard for dipping
Preheat the oven to 350°. Open the crescent dough tube and separate the dough into four rectangles. Press the seams in the middle together.
8 ounces crescent rolls
Use a pizza cutter, or sharp knife, to cut each rectangle lengthwise into eight strips.
Wrap 3-4 crescent dough strips around each hot dog. Don't forget to leave a little space near the top for the eyes, which you'll add after baking.
8 hot dogs
Place your mummy hot dogs on a baking sheet. Bake for 13-16 minutes or until the crescent dough turns golden brown. Remove from oven.
Attach the candy eyes by adding a small drop of ketchup to the back of each one. Serve warm and enjoy!

- Keep the crescent dough in the refrigerator until you're ready to use it. Cold dough is a lot easier to cut and wrap.
- Pat hot dogs dry with a paper towel. This will help the dough strips stick.
- Don't worry about making them neat. Crisscrossed, uneven strips will make your mummies look even more realistic.
- Tuck the ends of the dough strips underneath so that they stay put while baking.
- Don't add your candy eyes until the end. They will melt in the oven so wait until the mummy dogs are finished baking before adding them.
