Add the white candy melts to a bowl and microwave for 60 seconds. Stir, then heat in 30-second intervals, stirring between each, until smooth. You can stir in ½ tablespoon vegetable oil to thin the coating, if needed.
30 ounces white candy melts, 1/2 tablespoon vegetable oil
Using a fork, dip each cookie into the melted coating, flip to cover both sides, then tap off excess on the side of the bowl.
24 Oreo cookies
Place dipped cookies on a wax paper-lined baking sheet and chill for about 15 minutes, or until set.
Use a round cutter or the edge of a cap to lightly press a curved groove where the stitches will go.
Melt red candy melts in 30-second intervals until smooth. Add to a plastic squeeze bottle, piping bag, or sandwich bag with a snipped corner.
6 ounces red candy melts
Trace along the grooves with red candy. Next, pipe small diagonal lines for the stitches.
Let the cookies sit at room temp or chill again briefly until the red candy is set. Enjoy!
Notes
Use a toothpick to fix any lines or smudges after piping.
If your red melts are too thick, add a tiny bit of vegetable oil.
You may want to practice one or two stitches on parchment before decorating the cookies.
Let cookies fully set in the fridge before decorating so the red lines don’t smear.
