Ingredients

  • ¾ cup black candy melts
  • 15 ounces Ghirardelli dark chocolate melting wafers
  • 20 Double Stuf Oreo cookies
  • 40 black sugar pearls
  • 40 pieces brown and red M&Ms

Instructions

  • Line two baking trays with parchment paper and set aside. Melt the black candy melts in a double boiler over low heat or in a bowl in the microwave in 30 second increments.
    ¾ cup black candy melts
  • Once melted, allow the candy to cool for 2-3 minutes, then pour into a small piping bag fitted with a Wilton #3 tip.
  • On one of the prepared baking trays, pipe small antlers by making two letter 'V's on top of each other with a line down the center connecting them. Try to keep them between 1 inch and 1 ¼ inch in length. Set aside and allow the antlers to harden.
  • Melt the dark chocolate melting wafers in a double boiler over low heat or in the microwave in 30 second increments, stirring often.
15 ounces Ghirardelli dark chocolate melting wafers
  • Dip one Oreo at a time into the melted chocolate and lift it out with a fork. Tap the fork against the edge of the bowl to remove any excess chocolate.
    20 Double Stuf Oreo cookies
  • Place the chocolate-coated Oreo onto the second prepared baking tray. Repeat with 2-3 more Oreos.
  • Once you have 3-4 Oreos coated, place two eyes onto each one, add an M&M for the nose, then add the antlers.
40 black sugar pearls, 40 pieces brown and red M&Ms
  • Repeat with the rest of the Oreos, working in small batches, then allow the reindeer Oreos to set for at least 15 minutes. You can place the baking sheet into the fridge to speed up this process, if desired.

Notes

When making these cookies, it’s best to work in batches so you can move quickly before the chocolate sets.
