Instructions

  • Start by painting your pumpkin red. You may need 2-3 coats but you should give it about 20 minutes in between each coat before adding more.
A paintbrush, red paint on a paper plate, a bottle of red paint, and a pumpkin painted red are arranged on a white surface.
  • Draw the eyes. I suggest you start with a pencil. I did it with the marker but made a couple mistakes that I had to cover up. It wasn't hard but I did find myself wishing I'd started with a pencil! Fill in the middle of the eye with white paint.
A red pumpkin painted with large white eyes resembling Spider-Man, next to art supplies including paint bottles, a Sharpie marker, and a paper plate with red paint.
  • Fill in the outer part of the eye with black paint.
A red pumpkin painted with black and white cartoon eyes, resembling a superhero mask, sits next to paint bottles, a brush, and a white paper plate.
  • Once the black paint is dry, start drawing the "web" on Spiderman's head with the black marker.
A red pumpkin painted with black and white Spider-Man mask details, with a black permanent marker visible at the bottom right.
  • Continue to add more lines going towards the back of the head, connecting them together with smaller lines.
A red bell pepper painted with black web lines and large white eyes to resemble Spider-Man's mask, placed on a white surface.
  • Keep adding to the spiderweb until you reach the back of the pumpkin and voila, you now have your very own superhero pumpkin!
A hand holding a rock painted red with black spiderweb lines and large white eyes, resembling Spider-Man’s mask, against a white background.
