20 oz ground turkey 1 cup portobello mushrooms chopped 1/2 cup feta cheese crumbled 1 cup spinach chopped 2 cloves garlic chopped 3 tsp Worcestershire sauce 1/2 cup Italian bread crumbs 1 egg beaten 3 tbsp brown sugar BBQ sauce
Add the ground turkey to a mixing bowl.
20 oz ground turkey
Add the other ingredients and mix just until well combined.
1 cup portobello mushrooms, 1/2 cup feta cheese, 1 cup spinach, 2 cloves garlic, 3 tsp Worcestershire sauce, 1/2 cup Italian bread crumbs, 1 egg
Place blended mixture in a meatloaf pan.
Top with BBQ sauce. You can make your own but I just used store bought brown sugar BBQ sauce. Honey BBQ sauce would also be tasty!
3 tbsp brown sugar BBQ sauce
Bake for 45-50 minutes or until internal temp is 165 degrees on a meat thermometer.
Remove it from the oven and let it rest for a few minutes before serving.
Chop mushrooms small so they blend in and don’t release excess moisture.
Use parchment or foil in your loaf pan for easier cleanup.
Mix gently with your hands to avoid overworking the meat.
Let the loaf rest for 10 minutes so it slices clean and stays juicy.
Don’t guess. Use a meat thermometer to check for doneness; 165°F in the center.
