Football Cheese Ball

This delicious football cheese ball is the perfect appetizer for all your game day parties!

Ingredients

  • 16 ounces cream cheese softened
  • 2 cups cheddar cheese shredded
  • 1 fresh jalapeno finely diced
  • ¼ cup green onion chopped
  • 1 cup chopped bacon cooked and divided
  • 1 ounce ranch seasoning about 1 packet
  • 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
  • cup chopped pecans
  • 3 slices white cheddar or american cheese
  • Crackers and pretzels for dipping

Instructions

  • Combine cream cheese, jalapeno, shredded cheese, green onion, ½ cup chopped bacon, ranch seasoning, and Worcestershire sauce together in a bowl.

  • Mix together until all the ingredients are well blended.
  • Place a piece of plastic wrap on a cutting board. Put the cream cheese mixture on top, then use your hands to mold it into the shape of a football.
  • Wrap it in the plastic wrap , then refrigerate at least 6 hours or overnight.
  • Before serving, combine the remaining bacon pieces and nuts in an even layer on a plate.

  • Unwrap the cheese ball and roll it in the bacon mixture. Gently press the mixture into the cheese.
  • Cut the cheese slices into strips, then use the cheese strips to form football laces. Serve with crackers and any other favorite snacks and enjoy!

Notes

Be sure to start with room temperature cream cheese for a smoother texture. Otherwise your cheese ball may be lumpy. If you forget, just cut the cream cheese into pieces and cream with a hand mixer before adding the other ingredients.
