Pickles In A Blanket

A fun twist on the traditional pigs in a blanket recipe, these pickles in a blanket are a fun, delicious appetizer that'll be a huge hit at any party.

Ingredients

  • 1 tube crescent roll dough 8 count
  • 4 ounces cream cheese softened
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 6 slices ham cut in thirds
  • 16 mini dill pickles gherkins
  • 2 tablespoons butter melted
  • 1 teaspoon parsley
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into triangles. Cut each triangle in half lengthwise.

  • Spread a layer of cream cheese over the top of each triangle, then top the cream cheese with a layer of shredded cheddar cheese. Lightly press the cheddar into the cream cheese to hold it in place.
    4 ounces cream cheese, 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • Place a ham slice on top of the cheese, then top the ham with a pickle at the large end of the triangle.
    6 slices ham, 16 mini dill pickles
  • Roll the crescent dough around the toppings and place on the baking sheet.
  • Brush the top of each crescent roll with melted butter (you can also use an egg wash) and sprinkle the parsley and garlic powder on top.

  • Bake for 10 to 13 minutes, or until the dough is golden brown. Remove from the oven and place on a paper towel to cool slightly before serving.

Notes

If you're preparing these ahead of time, you can wrap them in plastic wrap and keep them refrigerated until you're ready to bake them.
