Cube the cheese and cream cheese into large chunks and add to a 10-inch medium skillet over medium heat.
8 ounces white American cheese, 8 ounces pepper jack cheese, 8 ounces cream cheese
Add the milk and heat until the cheese is melted, then turn the heat to low.
½ cup whole milk
Add the chopped green chiles (drained) and seasonings. Stir to combine.
4 ounces diced green chilies, ¼ teaspoon garlic powder, ⅛ teaspoon chili powder, ⅛ teaspoon ground cumin
Continue to heat until the dip is creamy and sooth and bubbling hot.
Serve hot and serve with a side of tortilla chips. Enjoy!
Notes
For a spicier version, add pickled jalapenos to the cheese, along with 1-2 tablespoons of the liquid.
If the dip is too thin, allow it to cook for a few minutes longer and it should thicken. If the dip is too thick, then add more milk or water, one tablespoon at a time. You could also add a little more of the canned jalapeno juice for more of a kick.
