Tiny houses are becoming more and more popular and it’s easy to see why. Many of them are beautifully designed and the simplicity they offer can be a nice change from a large house. Do you think you could give it all up and live in one of these tiny houses?
I’ve become fascinated with tiny houses lately and it started with the show Tiny House Hunters. I love International House Hunters so when I stumbled across this new version, I stopped to check it out. In one of the first episodes I watched, a couple with four children wanted to move into one of these tiny houses. Even the realtor was shocked when they ended up moving into a house that was approximately 700 square feet! I can see two people doing living comfortably in a place like that, but a family of 6 (did I mention that one was a teenager)? I would actually love a follow up show to see how that worked out for them!
That being said, my hubby and I were perfectly happy in our 850 square foot high rise condo years ago…we even had a baby and continued to live there until she was 3 (though having just one bedroom made it tricky). Eventually we knew we needed a bigger space and moved into a house but honestly, if it were just the two of us we could have lived there indefinitely. I think that’s why this trend has taken off and become so popular. They’re so cute and I love checking out the innovative space saving ideas that usually come along with them! Plus, less house means less cleaning, right? Here are some of my favorite tiny houses…

I could do it! I’d love to live in a tiny home. Less to clean!
Wow these are gorgeous! I don’t know if I could do it but they are still really cute 🙂
It’s definitely not for everyone but they’re still fun to look at 🙂 xoxo
I too have become interested in tiny homes. I love watching all the tiny homes shows, especially the show Tiny Luxury.
Found your post on Snickerdoodle Sunday
I’ve seen some of the shows but hadn’t heard of that one. I’ll have to check it out! Thanks so much for stopping by! xoxo
Some of these are gorgeous! I love the idea of having so little to maintain. Every time we move (and we have moved A LOT) I pack up about a month in advance. Seriously, I am happiest during the packed up month- the month where I have five sets of versatile clothes, one deodorant, and a can opener.
Thanks for sharing. I’m dreaming of this for when our children are grown.
My husband and I could totally live in one of these too! Before we had kids we lived in an 850 condo in a highrise and loved it! I agree that there’s something nice about having fewer “things”! However, we definitely couldn’t do it with little ones around. The toys alone take up too much room…LOL! xoxo
They’re very nice houses, cute neat and tidy. I could do a two-story, built on a slab and not on wheels; that would be the only way. Thanks for the photos! Enjoyed looking at these lovely living spaces.
So glad you enjoyed them!
