Looking for a great place to eat in Clearwater Florida? Head to the trendy new downtown area and check out Clear Sky On Cleveland, a fantastic new restaurant with a gorgeous dining room and amazing food that can’t be missed.
Thanks to Clear Sky On Cleveland for hosting our group. All opinions are 100% my own.
Of all the times I’ve been to Clearwater Beach, Florida, not once had I ventured downtown. However, on my most recent visit, I found I’d been missing out. I was with a group of friends and we discovered the historical Cleveland Street District, a trendy downtown area lined with shops and restaurants.
One of the newest additions to the restaurant scene is Clear Sky On Cleveland, sister restaurant to Clear Sky Beach Side Cafe on Clearwater Beach and Clear Sky Draught Haus in Dunedin. I’ve eaten breakfast several times at the beach location and couldn’t wait to give this new place a try.

Since there was a group of us and we didn’t feel like driving, we hopped on the Jolley Trolley. This adorable trolley will drive you around Clearwater and for just $5, you can hop on and off all day. As if that’s not a good enough deal, kids 5 and under are free. This was the perfect way to get around town and I don’t think I’ll ever use my car in Clearwater again!
After spending the morning at the Clearwater Aquarium, we hopped back on the Jolley Trolley and it dropped us off right at the front door of Clear Sky On Cleveland.
When you walk in, the front dining room is small but nice. There’s a bar where you can sit and watch football or tables where you can have lunch with friends for family.
I thought this was it and assumed this was where we’d be dining. However, when the hostess asked us to follow her, she led us to the back of the restaurant and around the corner to the Garden Room.
When we walked around the corner, it looked like we were in a completely different restaurant. This dining room was gorgeous! With greenery, windows and doors on the wall and a fountain in the middle of the room, I felt like I’d just stepped into a fancy courtyard.
This is the perfect room to hold a brunch, shower, or just get together to catch up with friends.
It was such a beautiful room and I’d come here for the atmosphere alone…but then it got better. Everything we tasted was absolutely amazing. First there was the French Onion Soup. You really can’t go wrong starting with this…just look at that melted cheese!
Then we ordered lunch. They totally had me at brie and I went straight for the Brie BLT. Made with applewood smoked pork shoulder bacon, brie, lettuce, tomato, maple mustard and sour dough bread, it was every bit as good as it sounds.
The Crepes and Fresh Berries were almost too pretty to eat. Made with sweet cream cheese filling, fresh berries and strawberry yogurt, it was a combination of brunch and dessert rolled into one.
BLT’s were a popular choice and another member of our group ordered the Club C.O.C. While it had bacon, lettuce and tomato like the traditional BLT, this one had a few extras like turkey, havarti cheese, avocado and gochujang aioli.
