Wondering what to pack for a Disney Cruise? Make sure you don’t forget a thing with this Disney cruise packing list!

I paid a discounted rate for my recent cruise as part of the Disney Creators Celebration. However, my love for Disney is 100% my own!
If you’re reading this, I’m guessing that you’re going on a Disney cruise sometime soon and I won’t lie…I’m so jealous! I just got back from cruising on board the Disney Dream and miss it already!
There’s nothing quite like a Disney cruise and just as you’d expect, Disney does everything they can to make it a magical experience. From the food, the entertainment and especially their private island Castaway Cay, I love everything about it!

Even if you’ve packed for other cruises, there are some special things you need for a Disney cruise. My favorite is the pirate costume for Pirate Night. On Pirate Night, everyone dresses up and heads upstairs for a fun show featuring Mickey and the gang, along with some of their pirate friends.

If you’re not dressed up, you’ll feel very left out!You don’t even have to spend a lot. I got this fun pirate costume from Amazon for under $20.

Just know that the top is slightly sheer, not very Disney-like, so you may want to wear a white camisole underneath. You can also pack cuter shoes…I was just completely out of room in my suitcase for “pirate shoes”.
Disney Cruise Packing List
That’s not all you’ll need though. You’ll need autograph books for meeting characters and you may even want to bring your Disney ears along too!
Be sure to print this Disney cruise packing list so that you can be sure you don’t forget anything!
If you really want to get in on the fun, check out this tutorial for how to make Disney cruise door magnets or order customized cruise door magnets from Etsy. They’re a lot of fun and we make them for our door every time!

Since this last cruise was a girl’s trip (we left the kids home with our hubbys), we even brought a couple bottles of wine. Disney lets passengers over 21 bring two bottles each, though we had so much fun out and about on the ship that we ended up bringing some of our wine home with us!
Carry-On Bag
For the first day of your cruise, you’ll need to bring a carry-on bag. You won’t have access to your luggage right away so you’ll need to carry on your most important items. These include important documents like passports and other ID, valuables, prescription medications, camera, and wine or beer if you’re bringing it (alcohol is not allowed in checked baggage). If you’ll be hanging by the pool, be sure to throw in your sunscreen and bathing suits.
More Favorites For A Disney Cruise
While not essential, here are a few more of my favorite things to pack for a Disney cruise!
This American Tourister Disney luggage couldn’t be any cuter! Until now, my Star Wars suitcase was my favorite but I am totally in love with my new Minnie Mouse carry-on!!! Is this adorable or what?!
You can also bring along Disney inspired Havaianas Flip Flops or a Minnie Mouse inspired bathing suit. If you’re a first time cruisers, you’ll want a Disney lanyard so that you have your Key To The World Card handy at all times. After your first cruise, Disney gives you one when you check in at the port.
