Want a quick and easy dinner your family will love? This awesome Korean BBQ recipe has just five ingredients and is ready in 20 minutes.
Sometimes there just aren’t enough hours in the day. Being a mom means life is busy and I don’t always have time to spend an hour in the kitchen cooking dinner. However, I also don’t want to feed my kids frozen pizza every night.
That’s why I am seriously loving these authentic Asian simmer sauces from Passage To Asia! I’m all about dinner shortcuts so when I found these easy to use stir fry sauces at Walmart, I had to give them a try.
I picked up the Red Thai Curry, Pad Thai and Korean BBQ sauces. Though we love Asian food, I don’t make it often enough. Maybe it’s because my mother-in-law has scared me off. She makes Asian dishes whenever we go over for dinner but her recipes have a gazillion ingredients and take forever to make. They always taste amazing but I just don’t have that kind of time (or money) to spend on our meals every night.
Now that I’ve discovered these simmer sauces, we can get the taste of Asia without all the work. Each one is created by by specialty chefs from that specific region so it’s like gourmet cooking with convenience. Authentic Asian dishes in 20 minute or less? I’m all in!
Made with only wholesome, all natural ingredients, they’re also non GMO, BPA and gluten free. That means I can feel good about serving them to my family. The bonus? They can be made in 20 minutes. That’s all I needed to hear!

Korean BBQ Recipe
The best thing about this easy Korean BBQ recipe is that it takes just five ingredients. Of course, all good Asian meals start with rice. Get your rice started first so it’ll be ready when the rest of the food is finished cooking.
Pour a tablespoon of olive oil into a pan and add carrots. Cook the carrots for 4-5 minutes, just until they start getting a little soft (not too much though because they still have more cooking to do).
Stir in the beef and snow peas.
Cook for a minute or two and add the mushrooms.
Pour Korean BBQ sauce over the beef and veggies.
Stir well and simmer until it’s heated through.
Once the sauce is heated, your delicious dinner is ready to serve. Spoon it over white rice and enjoy.
My family absolutely loved this recipe. Not only that, it’s a great way to get my kids to eat their veggies. If there’s one thing I’ve learned over the years, it’s not the actual veggies that matter but how you serve them that determines if the kids will eat them or not.
The great thing about this Korean BBQ beef recipe is how versatile it is. If you don’t have these ingredients at home, just substitute what you do have. I’m totally trying this with chicken next time and if your kids don’t like snow peas, try throwing in some broccoli instead.
Don’t forget about dessert! If you love Asian food, you’ve got to check out these Indonesian desserts too!
