Disney Wish Blue Milkshake

Do you love Disney cruises as much as we do? When I saw a preview for the new Disney Wish recently, I was totally inspired! Their cruises are always pretty amazing but this one takes things to a whole new level!

Check out my DISNEY WISH POST to see all the cool things this new ship has to offer!

With all the amazing things these ships have to offer, one of the things my kids love most is the all you can eat soft serve ice cream. Since Disney’s taking cruising up a notch with the Disney Wish, I’m taking ice cream up a notch with this cruise inspired blue milkshake.

Milkshake Garnish

This recipe is super easy and the fun is in the garnishes.

Start by making seashells using candy melts and chocolate molds. I used colors I already had but you can also buy white candy melts and once they’re melted, color them with food coloring.

Doughnut life preservers

These fun life preservers are easy to make with mini donuts! Just add red decorating gel and use a straw to hold them in place in the milkshake.

How To Make A Blue Milkshake

Before making the milkshake, I made my own whipped cream by combining a half cup of heavy whipping cream and 1/8 cup of powdered sugar in a stand mixer, then beat until firm peaks formed.

Separate out a third of the whipped cream, color it blue and use a spatula to spread it around the sides of an icing bag. Then add the white whipped cream.

Add the white whipped cream and set the bag aside for later.

This blue milkshake is so easy because it’s really just a classic vanilla milkshake colored with blue food coloring. Start with vanilla ice cream.

Pour in milk.

Adding milk to blue milkshake

Add vanilla extract.

Add 2-3 drops of food coloring and blend until creamy.

Pour into a milkshake glass (or divide into two glasses) and top with the whipped cream (I added blue sugar sprinkles too). I also printed the Disney Cruise logo and used fun straws to add the logo and donuts to the milkshake. Finally, I added the shells and mermaid tail.

Blue milkshake on red and blue napkins

This blue milkshake recipe is so delish and I love how easy it is to make. If you’re planning a Disney cruise for the family, this would be a really fun way to surprise them with the news.

You could also replace the cruise inspired garnish and add some fun Star Wars toppers. If blue milk is good, a blue milkshake is even better!

Don’t forget to read all about the new Disney Wish! If you thought Disney’s other cruise ships were cool, you’re really going to LOVE this one!
