How to Make Strawberry Popcorn

Step 1: Preheat the oven to 350 degrees and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper. Sprinkle the popcorn onto the sheet in an even layer, removing any unpopped popcorn kernels.

Tips & Tricks

  • Change the flavor of Jello to make different variations on this fruity popcorn recipe. You can even make several batches in different flavors, then mix them together to make rainbow popcorn.
  • For best results, toss or stir the popcorn as it’s cooling. This will help to separate the popcorn so it doesn’t harden into large clumps.
  • We used microwave popcorn but you can pop popcorn in an air popper. You can also make this simple recipe even easier by just buying a pre-popped bag from the store.
  • Toss in some dark chocolate chips or white chocolate chips after the popcorn has cooled, or drizzle some melted chocolate on top, then wait for it to set before serving.
  • Freeze-dried strawberries would be another fun mix-in. Just don’t use fresh strawberries as they are likely to make the popcorn soggy.

How Do I Store Strawberry Popcorn?

Store your leftover popcorn in an airtight container at room temperature. It should keep for up to a week.

Can I Use Sugar Free Jello?

I haven’t tried it personally, but I wouldn’t recommend it for this recipe. The sugar is what helps to get that yummy, caramelized coating on the popcorn, so it may not work as well without it.
