Tips & Tricks
- Be sure to use an unsweetened cocoa powder such as Hershey’s. Don’t use a mixed chocolate milk powder, as these are usually filled with sugar. You can also mix in some chocolate chips for even more chocolate flavor.
- Be careful not to overmix, otherwise your brownies may have a tougher consistency.
- Do not overcook the brownies. For fudgy brownies, a toothpick inserted in the middle will come out with just a little batter and a few crumbs clinging to it. For more cake-like brownies, wait until the brownie batter starts to pull away from the sides of the pan.
- Add a hint of flaky sea salt on top of the brownies to bring out the chocolate and peanut butter flavor.
- If you want to make these even more decadent, spread some peanut butter frosting over the top!
Store any leftover brownies in an airtight container at room temperature or in the refrigerator. They should keep for 3-4 days.
Yes! You can freeze them for up to 3 months. Stack them in an airtight container or place them in a freezer bag with parchment paper between each slice.
