We’re all spending a lot more time inside these days! Like most moms, I’m trying my best to come up with new ways to keep the kids entertained on a daily basis. Lucky for us, Disney is jumping in to save the day and lift our spirits!

Onward Arrives Early

The world has been a little scary these days and while I was reading the news today, I finally had something GOOD to read about! Since going to a movie theater is out of the question right now, Disney has decided to digitally release Onward so that we can all enjoy it from the comfort of our own home.

Disney released it yesterday as a digital download for $19.99. Not only will you save money by skipping the theater, but if your child always needs a potty break at a pivotal moment like mine does, you can actually hit the pause button! That’s reason to celebrate alone but it will also be available to watch on Disney+ starting April 3rd.

This is super exciting news because I’ve been dying to see this movie with my family. I was lucky enough to get a sneak preview at the Disney Creators Celebration and even though I always love Disney Pixar movies, this one was even better than I expected. It’s the story of two teenage boys who get the chance to spend one day with their late father. Of course, there are plenty of obstacles they have to face to make it happen…nothing is ever easy in the movies, right?

Onward is the perfect combination of humor, adventure and sentiment. Chris Pratt is at his best as the rough and tumble big brother and it’s impossible not to love Tom Holland as the sensitive younger brother Ian. While the movie is full of laughs, it also brings out the emotions and I’m not ashamed to admit that I had to pull out a few tissues.

It’s a story that both the kids and the grownups will love, making it perfect for family movie night!
