What is Elf on the Shelf?

If you’re new to the Elf on the Shelf fun, it’s a Christmas tradition that kids love – and one that keeps them on their best behavior. The story behind the tradition is that one of Santa’s scout elves will visit your home each day in December. The elf hides in a new location each morning and the kids love discovering what new mischief he’s gotten into.

Then he flies back to the North Pole each night, reporting to Santa Claus on the kids’ good (or naughty) behavior. On Christmas Eve, he returns home for good – until next year.

What’s Included in the Elf Notes

There are tons of cute and creative ideas for posing your little elf, and they can get pretty elaborate. These printable note cards are perfect for when you don’t have time to do an entire craft project or set up a complicated elf scene.
