Tired of digging through dozens of cords to find the charger you need? This DIY cord organizer will make life so much easier!
I don’t know about you, but we have a lot of electronics…cameras, phones, bluetooth speakers, headphones, not to mention battery packs and other miscellaneous items. While I love all my toys, I was starting to get frustrated with one thing. The box where I stored cords was just one big, unorganized mess. I was tired of digging through it every time I needed something.
The DIY cord organizer that I came up with is so simple that I’m not sure why I didn’t think of it sooner. Here’s the cheap and easy solution that has saved me from pulling my hair out!
Easy DIY Cord Organizer
This electronics accessories box was pretty horrible, right? I took everything out, untangled it, figured out what it belonged with (a task in itself) and if I was still using it. I had several phone chargers for phones from the dark ages. Once that was all sorted out, I labeled sandwich bags with a marker and matched everything up.
The bags were arranged so that cords used most often were near the front while, lesser used ones were in the back. You can also do it alphabetically, by size or any way that works best for you. It was a gazillion times better!
I just wish it hadn’t take me so long to figure this out. It was so easy (and cheap!).
What is driving you crazy in your life that needs to be organized…junk drawer, closet, pantry? Any simple solutions for the rest of us?
I’m in love with this project and how simple it is! I am definitely going to use this one!
Thanks Jessica! It’s funny because I didn’t even had a plan to blog about it. However, once I started doing it, I had a feeling that other people must have the same problem! Thanks so much for stopping by!

Now to figure that out to include larger scale electronics LOL. I have a full buffet cabinet of electronics!
You’ll definitely need a bigger box…LOL!

That’s a great idea! I’m getting motivated to start organizing everything in sight…This would be a great start!
I always have this problem! what a great and simple way to deal with it. I also have a small box by the door for keys which has some how collected mail, lose coins and anything that doesn’t really have a spot. Need to get on to organising that as well. Thanks for the great tips 🙂
I’m glad I could help! Now I don’t know how I lived with that jumbled mess for so long…LOL!

So simple. The hardest part is just DOING it! My husband is the electronics guy and has a mini vacation coming up, thanks for the honey do idea! 😉
That is a brilliant way to organize!
I love how simple and affordable this solution is! I did something similar with mine…I used tape to label them and wrapped it around the cords, but this makes it much easier to quickly find what you’re looking for! Thanks for sharing on the Small Victories Sunday Linkup!
This is so awesome, yet so simple… a “why didn’t I think of that” moment!
Thanks so much for sharing.
Wishing you a lovely evening.

Love this! Cheap, everyone has Ziploc baggies at home! I’m doing this as soon as I get home. Thanks for sharing!
LOVE this! Thank you so much for sharing with us at Waiting on…Wednesday!
I love this simple idea for organizing cords. What brand of baggie did you use that has the writable area at the top? Thanks!
I believe it was Ziploc but I just checked and my Publix brand baggies have the writable area as well.
OMG that is such a good idea. I have a box sitting in my foyer waiting for me to do something w/ it. Thank you for this great idea.
now I need an idea for light bulbs🤷🏻♀️
I’m so glad you found it helpful! Hope you were able to figure out a light bulb solution. That should be my next project! 🙂
