Making something special for breakfast doesn’t have to take all morning. With just four main ingredients, these Cheese & Berry Stuffed Crescent Rolls are just as easy as they are delicious.
Don’t you just love spring? We sure do! While our Florida winters aren’t too bad, it still gets chilly and I am not a fan of cold weather. We get so excited about spring because that means it’s time for outdoor festivals, beach trips and days spent doing cannonballs in the pool.
One of our favorite activities in spring is picking strawberries. I remember having so much fun picking strawberries with my grandmother and now my girls and I are making memories of our own. We tend to go a little crazy and pick way more than we need but isn’t that part of the fun? What I really love is that once strawberry picking season is over, the blueberry picking begins!
Of course, we have to find something to do with all those berries. While I’m happy to just pop them in my mouth for a quick snack, I love finding ways to include them in new recipes too. This time I decided to combine two of our favorite things…berries and Pillsbury Original Crescent Rolls.
I grab some extra Pillsbury Crescent Rolls whenever I’m at Walmart because while they’re delicious on their own, they’re also perfect for making lots of other recipes. I’ve used them to make Halloween treats, appetizers and even dinner. Now I’ve got an awesome new recipe. The beauty of it is that it’s super easy too and when you’re a busy mom, easy recipes are the favorites. With just four main ingredients, plus a little powdered sugar to top it off, you can treat the family to a delicious breakfast without spending all morning in the kitchen.
Cheese & Berry Stuffed Crescent Rolls
Start by unrolling the crescent sheet and separating the triangles.
Add cream cheese to the wide end. I’ve found that it’s easier to buy the rectangular cream cheese instead of the tubs because you can just slice it off the end as you go.
Top the cream cheese with one strawberry, cut in two pieces and placed side by side.
Add 4-5 blueberries.
Wrap the crescent dough around the fruit and cheese. If the sides are too wide, you can wrap those around too.
Bake at 375 for 12-14 minutes, until the top is golden brown. Sprinkle a little powdered sugar over the top and your Cheese & Berry Stuffed Crescent Rolls are ready to serve.
Yumm…be sure you make enough because it’s impossible to eat just one!
Don’t have berries in the fridge? Try making these with apple and cinnamon instead!
- 1 pk Pillsbury Crescent Rolls - 8 ct
- 8 strawberries, cut ½ lengthwise
- ½ cup blueberries
- 4 oz cream cheese
- powdered sugar for garnish
- Unroll the crescent rolls and separate
- Place ½ oz cream cheese on the large end of each crescent roll
- Place two ½ strawberries side by side on top of the cream cheese
- Add 4-5 blueberries
- Roll the crescent dough around the fruit and cheese (the sides will be open)
- Bake at 375 for 12-14 minutes
- Remove from oven and sprinkle with powdered sugar
- Serve hot and enjoy
