Need easy DIY Halloween costumes for the kids this year? If Halloween snuck up on you this year, don’t worry. These quick and easy last minute costumes will save the day!

Sometimes things just sneak up on you. I know that I get super busy with work, family life and the to-do list that just gets longer every day. Halloween seemed so far away but then I blinked and now it’s here in just a few days. There are no carve pumpkins to paint, Halloween cookies to bake and of course, costumes to decide on.
This year we actually got an early start. We were heading to Disney and needed costumes for their Halloween celebration. It may just be the earliest we’ve ever gotten our costumes squared away.
I had all kinds of Disney princess dress up ideas but after much debate, we went with a Star Wars theme. Leia hair was harder than I expected but I managed in the end and we all loved our costumes.

Easy DIY Halloween Costumes
I’ll probably be scrambling again next year but luckily I’ve found some super cute and easy DIY Halloween costumes.
I’m really loving these ideas, and not just because they’re so easy. Since most of them use items you’ve probably got around the house, they’re easy on the budget too!
So grab those boxes, balloons and whatever else you can find and have some fun getting crafty!

I really want to go back in time to when my girls were little, just so I can make the wind-up doll costumes! They’re all so cute though and now you’ve got easy costume ideas for years to come!
What will your kids be dressing up as this year?
Let’s be friends!
