If there’s one thing that’s a staple in our house, it’s chicken! My family would eat it every night of the week if they could and I’m always trying to come up with new recipes to change things up.

Of all our new recipes, honey garlic chicken with Nature Nate’s Honey has become our favorite! This recipe is super easy with just a few ingredients, the most important being the honey of course. I wanted use the best tasting honey I could find and chose Nature Nate’s because they’re the top branded honey company in the country, with honey that’s 100% pure, raw and unfiltered.

Two-bottles-of-Nature-Nates-Honey

Nature Nate’s teams up with the best beekeepers across the country to ensure that the quality of their honey is top notch. Just one taste and you can totally tell the difference…the deep flavors of this premium honey are balanced, sweet and so delish!

I use it for so much more than chicken too. It tastes great in my overnight oats, yogurt, or even as a dipping sauce. I also love it for sweetening my tea and the organic Honey Minis are perfect for when you want just one serving at a time.

Nature Nate’s is so confident in their honey that they even have a purity guarantee. With everything that goes into the food we eat nowadays, it makes me feel good knowing that each bottle is tested to ensure that it’s simple, pure and tastes like it came straight from the hive.

How To Make Honey Garlic Chicken

That’s why I knew it would be perfect for these honey garlic chicken thighs. Since there are just a few ingredients, quality was extra important. The fact that this recipe is so simple and my family loves it as much as they do is a total win/win!

Just be warned…you’d better keep lots of Nature Nate’s Honey on hand because your family is going to want this for dinner ALL the time!

Start by combining the honey and soy sauce in a bowl, mixing until they’re well blended.

Ingredients for honey garlic chicken

Stir in the minced garlic and ginger. Sometimes I use the minced garlic in a jar to save time but you get so much more flavor when you mince your own garlic.

Mixing ingredients for honey garlic chicken thighs

Pour 1/2 of the mixture into a gallon size plastic bag, then add eight chicken thighs. I like chicken thighs because they’re easy and inexpensive but you can use any cut of chicken you like. This honey garlic marinade tastes delish on chicken wings too (just remember to adjust the cooking times).

Seal the bag, then slide the chicken around inside until it’s evenly covered with the honey mixture.

Honey garlic chicken marinating in bag

Place the bag on a plate with the chicken arranged in a single layer. Marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes (you can let it overnight for even more flavor).

How to cook honey garlic chicken thighs

Once the chicken is marinated, heat the oven to 400 degrees. Place the chicken skin side down in a baking dish. If there’s any marinade left in the bag, pour it over the top of the chicken.

Bake for 20 minutes, then turn the chicken over and spoon the other half of the honey garlic marinade over the top.

Bake for another 20 minutes or so. You’ll know your chicken is done when a meat thermometer reads 165.

This chicken recipe looked amazing when it came out of the oven but tasted even better than it looked! I love the way the honey marinade caramelizes in the oven.

Eat these as is or garnish with chives. You can’t go wrong either way!

What to serve with honey garlic chicken thighs

Because this dish has kind of an Asian theme, I love serving it with rice and snow peas. It goes great with pretty much anything though. Here are some other sides you can serve with honey garlic chicken…

  • broccoli
  • green beans
  • carrots
  • asparagus
  • mushrooms
  • sauteed spinach
  • peppers
  • onions
  • cauliflower

  • Chives for garnish optional

Instructions

  • Combine honey, soy sauce and apple cider vinegar in a medium bowl. Whisk together until well blended.
3/4 cup Nature Nate’s Honey, 1/4 cup soy sauce, 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • Stir in ginger and garlic.
4 tbsp fresh ginger, 4 cloves garlic
  • Place chicken pieces in a gallon size storage bag. Pour 1/2 of the honey mixture over the chicken, seal the bag and move the chicken around inside the bag until it’s evenly covered.
    8 chicken thighs

  • Bake for 20 minutes, then turn the chicken over. Pour the other 1/2 of the honey mixture over the top and bake for another 15-20 minutes. The chicken is ready when your meat thermometer reads 165°.
