One thing I miss about my kids being in elementary school is all the cute and crafty gifts they used to bring home, especially for holidays. While nothing beats the laughs I got from their Mother’s Day Questionnaires, the crafts were just as adorable.

We’ve made everything from DIY Photo Coasters to a simple but pretty Tin Can Pencil Holder but nothing beats a classic fingerprint art design. The kids will love making their own art project for mom and she’ll have a keepsake worthy of framing.

How To Make Fingerprint Flowers

First, download the free printable template. Feel free to print several or enough for a whole class (this makes a great pre-school or Kindergarten project).

Next, choose the paint colors you’d like to use. Kids can use all the colors of the rainbow or just their select favorites. Finally, let the kids get creative with their finger painting and make a work of art that mom will love!

Display these on the refrigerator with cute flower magnets or in a pretty picture frame. I also really like these fun art display frames…you can easily swap out the artwork every time your child brings home a new creation.
